Refund Policy
Last updated:
Clear, fair support for your digital purchases. If something goes wrong, we are here to help.
1. Digital products and delivery
IMABIT sells digital technical publications, ebooks, digital media, and software licenses, primarily to customers in the United States. Purchases are charged in US dollars (USD).
Ebooks and digital media are available for download immediately after payment is completed. Software delivery and license access follow the instructions shown with the product and your order.
Digital products cannot be physically returned once downloaded. Change-of-mind refunds are therefore generally unavailable once you have accessed or downloaded the product, except where applicable law requires otherwise. This restriction does not exclude refunds for defects, non-delivery, or the other eligible issues below.
2. When a refund is available
Contact us within 14 calendar days of purchase to request a refund under this policy for any of the following:
- Corrupted, defective, or incomplete files: the download is unusable or incomplete and our support team cannot rectify the problem through a working replacement or other appropriate fix.
- Accidental duplicate orders: you purchased the same title twice, with the duplicate order placed within 48 hours of the original. We initiate the refund for the duplicate order immediately upon verification; payment-provider posting time still applies.
- Undelivered or inaccessible purchases: a technical issue prevented fulfillment or access to your digital purchase and we cannot restore the promised access.
For software licenses, contact us within the same window if a defect or technical delivery issue prevents the promised use or license access and support cannot resolve it. Check the product’s stated system requirements before purchasing.
We may help troubleshoot or provide a working replacement before determining whether the issue can be resolved. Contacting us within the window preserves your request while we investigate; troubleshooting does not require you to submit a new request before the deadline.
The 14-day window describes our voluntary refund policy. It does not shorten any mandatory period or remedy available under applicable consumer law, including for faulty, misdescribed, or undelivered products.
3. How to request a refund
- Email support@imabit.com with the subject “Refund request” and your order number.
- Include the email address associated with your account or order, the affected title or software license, and a description of the issue. For a duplicate purchase, include both order numbers if available.
- Describe any troubleshooting you have tried. You may attach an error screenshot with personal or payment details removed.
We will verify the purchase and contact you if we need more information. Never send passwords, full payment card numbers, or software license keys in your request.
4. Review and payment timing
We review requests within 2–3 business days and explain the outcome or any information needed to complete the review. Verified accidental duplicates are submitted for refund immediately.
Approved refunds are issued in USD to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of approval, or sooner where required by law. Your bank or payment provider may need additional time to display the credit. If your bank converted the original payment into another currency, exchange-rate differences or bank fees may affect the amount displayed in that currency.
Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays in Mexico. A refund covers the affected purchase or duplicate charge. Access to the refunded digital product or license may be revoked; stop using it and delete downloaded copies after receiving the refund.
5. EU withdrawal and consumer rights
Where EU consumer withdrawal rules apply, you generally have 14 days from concluding the contract to withdraw from an online digital-content purchase. For paid digital content supplied without a physical medium, this right is lost only when delivery has begun after your prior express consent to immediate delivery and your acknowledgment that you will lose the withdrawal right, with the required contract confirmation provided on a durable medium, such as email.
Any checkout request for that consent must be explicit, for example: “I expressly consent to immediate delivery of the digital content before the 14-day withdrawal period ends, and acknowledge that I lose my right of withdrawal when delivery begins.” Agreeing to a general policy or seeing a download link alone does not replace these requirements.
If the required consent, acknowledgment, or confirmation has not been obtained, we do not rely on this exception to deny an applicable withdrawal right. To exercise an available right, email support@imabit.com with a clear statement that you wish to withdraw and details identifying the order; no special wording is required. Applicable statutory refund deadlines take priority over our standard processing estimates.
A withdrawal waiver does not remove your rights concerning defective or nonconforming digital content. Different rules can apply to software supplied as an ongoing service. Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer protections in Mexico, the United States, the EU, or another applicable jurisdiction.
6. Payment disputes
Please contact support@imabit.com first so we can resolve a delivery or billing issue promptly before you initiate a chargeback. This is a request, not a condition that limits your right to dispute a charge with your bank or payment provider. Do not let a dispute deadline expire while waiting for our response.
If a dispute is already open, let us know so we can coordinate with the payment provider and avoid duplicate reimbursement.
